Hutang Negara Akhir Jun 2014 (Definisi Baru) – sekilas pandang:
1. Yg berhutang itu ialah (a) sektor awam – Kerajaan Persekutuan & perusahawan awam  dan (b) sektor swasta – perbankan & bkn perbankan.
2. Dua komponen hutang (a) Dlm negeri – semuanya oleh Kerajaan Persekutuan dan (b) Luar Negeri – spt 1 (a) & (b) di atas. Lihat Jadual 1 & 2.

3. Amaun hutang dlm negeri, Akhir Jun 2014 = RM552.7b (51.3% drp GDP).
4. Amaun hutang Luar Negeri, Akhir Jun 2014:
a) Jum = RM729.0b (67.6% drp GDP)
b) Kerajaan Persekutuan = RM16.2b (1.5%)
c) Lain2 = RM712.8b (66.1%)
5. Jumlah hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan (3) + 4 (b) = RM568.9b (52.8% drp GDP).
6. Hutang ini berdasarkan definisi baru yang selaras dengan definisi IMF. Terdapat 7 perkara baru. Sila lihat Jadual 3.

7. Kerajaan akan memastikan tahap hutang akan kekal terurus melalui (a) pelaksanaan dasar ekonomi makro yang baik, (b) pematuhan kepada peraturan dan perundangan fiskal serta (c) penggunaan strategi pengurusan hutang berhemah.
8. Hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan sebanyak 52.8% drp GDP masih di bawah tahap berhemah = 55%. (Eurozone = 60%).
9. Bayaran khidmat hutang sebanyak 10.3% drp jumlah hasil masih jauh dari paras 15% yang telah ditetapkan di bawah peraturan pengurusan fiskal.

    PM of Malaysia is in euphoria for receiving recognition by Dean of Wharton praising his sterling leadership and robust stewardship in raising national debt by 8 % during his tenure as Minister of Finance.
    Malaysians are proud of achieving lowest undervaluation of RM in the last 6 years.
